Setting Up Domain Based Email

Set Up Your Computers To Receive And Send Email Using Specific Domain Based Addresses.
Firstly become familiar with the original mail (email settings) and make a hard copy of the settings. This is required to check against if any errors occur during the new email address being processed.
There are several steps to set this up :-
| 1a Open outlook express 2a Click Tools 3a Click Accounts 4a Select the add tab, follow the process and the ONLY CHANGES should be your email address and mail account name 5a Click finish Picture / Visual guidance through the steps above |

| Validate the new email settings | |||||||||
| 1b | Within the properties DO NOT delete your default settings | ||||||||
| 2b | Click Tools / Accounts / Mail Tab / Select New Address | ||||||||
| 3b | Select properties | ||||||||
| 4 b | Check the 5 tabs, all should mirror the DEFAULT email address except | ||||||||
| The general tab - Check your new - | |||||||||
| 1c | Mail Account Name - i.e John Smith | ||||||||
| 2c | User Info - i.e John S JohnSmith@domainname.co.uk | ||||||||
| 3c | Organisation | ||||||||
| 4c | Email Address = Your newly entered address | ||||||||
| 5c | Reply Email Address = As above | ||||||||
| How do I select a specific email address from my list to send :- | |||||||||
| 1d | Open outlook express | ||||||||
| 2d | Create mail - new message template opens | ||||||||
| 3d | Click On the From Email Address Bar and a Drop Down Menu of all your email address will appear. | ||||||||
| 4d | Click on the address you wish to use and create your message, then use a you have done with your (default) original email. | ||||||||
| TEST IT OUT - Email a test email to yourself, i.e, from / to the PC you have set up the new email address on. | |||||||||
